My Story

JMK Office Solutions is me, Janet Kumagai. I have 25 years of office administrative experience in both the medical field and the law field. Small businesses hire me on a contract basis to act as their part-time, “virtual assistant.” I live in Las Vegas, NV with Jordan (daughter), Soh (husband), our snake Harry, and our cat Senna. I enjoy reading, learning Jiu Jitsu and the beach.

Here is my story: I grew up in St. James, NY and went to college in Allentown, PA. I originally desired to work with children in the medical and mental health field and earned a degree in Psychology. After graduation I worked in mental health and medical hospitals. During this time, I quickly gravitated to the administrative side in these fields. In 2003 I changed careers and became a paralegal for a small civil litigation defense firm. I worked on a variety of cases and assisted the attorneys preparing their cases for settlement or trial. After all of the years working on the administrative side of the medical and law fields, I now want to assist small businesses with their administrative tasks to relieve them of these responsibilities so they will have time to focus on their businesses.
